Frederick J. Kiesler: Endless Space

  • Schindler House 835 North Kings Road West Hollywood, CA, 90069 (map)

In collaboration with the AIA Master of Architecture Lecture Series, the MAK Center hosted a symposium at Los Angles County Museum of Art’s Bing Theater featuring leading historians and practitioners in discussion about the concept of endlessness in architecture. Panelists Sylvia Lavin, Greg Lynn, Lebbeus Woods and Anthony Vidler discussed recent cultural and scientific developments that have contributed to the evolution of “endless” architecture, considering digital technology, philosophy, criticism, psychology, physics and biology. Transcripts from the symposium are featured in the exhibition catalogue, Frederick J. Kiesler Endless Space, available for purchase through the MAK Center Bookstore.
