The Garden Film Screening

This special screening of The Garden, the award-winning documentary that chronicles the complex and emotional story of the destruction of Los Angeles’s South Central Farm, was presented as part of MAK Center’s Urban Future Initiative. The screening was followed by a Q & A with the filmmaker Scott Hamilton Kennedy and South Central Farmers representative Tezozomoc.


 

The MAK Urban Future Initiative (UFI) ran from 2008-10 at the Fitzpatrick-Leland House and was dedicated to creating meaningful cross-cultural exchange about the challenges confronting cities worldwide.
