with Julia Koerner
Adam Vukmanov is an award-winning architect and designer with over fifteen years of experience in building construction, interior architecture, and production design. Since 2018, as a core member of Studio Taktonika, his work has primarily focused on developing innovative spaces in the fields of workplace, healthcare, and residential design.
After graduating from dieAngewandte, Vukmanov worked for Span-Arch in Vienna, where he contributed to the completion of the Austrian Pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. He later joined Acme in London, realizing several large-scale projects in the United Kingdom and the Middle East. His interdisciplinary approach to design, combined with a focus on high-end craft and advanced fabrication, led him to the set design and concept art environment in the film and advertising industry, where he was nominated for the 18th USA Art Directors Guild Award in the category of Production Design. His clients include Renault, Nissan, Genesis, and PlayStation, among others.
Vukmanov has taught architectural design at UMPRUM and ARCHIP in Prague, Lund School of Architecture, CITA KADK in Copenhagen, and the Architectural Association Global School in Paris. His research work and collaborations with students have been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, as well as in galleries and conferences across Europe and the United States.
Influenced by his participation in the MAK Schindler Artists and Architects-in-Residence Program, Vukmanov developed a passion for photography and now works professionally in landscape, fashion, and architectural photography. He is currently based in Prague, Czech Republic.
