Julia Hohenwarter’s installations, displays, and sculptures have been exhibited internationally, including at Kunsthalle Vienna, MAK Schindler House Los Angeles, Austrian Cultural Forum Tokio, The Tip Bangkok, mumok – Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Vienna, 21er Haus Belvedere and Arcadia Missa London. She taught at the University of Art Linz as well as at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (AT) with Monica Bonvicini and Marina Gržinic. She received the Prize for Fine Arts from the State of Carinthia in 2014, as well as numerous studio grants abroad. In 2020 she was awarded the Austrian State Scholarship for Fine Arts. Since 2022 she has been working on the multidisciplinary project scaleMDLS She is represented by THE ARTISTS (CH), in the selection of Bettina Steinbrügge, director and curator of MUDAM Luxembourg. Her first monograph "Private Book" was published by Distanz Verlag Berlin in 2023.
