Baptiste Penetticobra
Baptiste Penetticobra is a French director and photographer. His work primarily focuses on prosaic environments, their inhabitants, and their relationship to fiction, signs, and narrative. Baptiste's work explores diverse mediums such as video installation, photography, and music video. In fiction, his films delve into their own limits, codes, and ambiguities, using direct-to-camera monologues performed by non-actors met through Craigslist. His work in music videos aspires to bridge contemporary art and fashion with music using performance and strong visual concepts. Having one foot in commercial video and the other in contemporary art, Baptiste's work took him to live and work in the United States, most notably in Los Angeles. Some of Baptiste's work includes collaborations such as with KENZO, Kaleidoscope Magazine, le Centre Pompidou, Ed Banger & Sony Music.
