Corinne L. Rusch
Corinne Rusch studied at the Zurich University of the Arts and the University of Applied Arts in Zurich, at the Institute for Fine and Media Arts, Stage and Film Design. During her studies, she focused intensively on photography while also designing several sets and costumes for various theater productions, primarily in collaboration with director Barbara D. Brüesch.
Since 2001, Rusch has been working as a freelance artist specializing in photography. She continues to collaborate on many theater projects with Barbara D. Brüesch as a set and costume designer. From 2010 to 2012, she was an assistant to photographer Markus Rössle, where she refined her expertise in lighting. His photographic practice is in the applied field of advertising and fashion.
In recent years, Rusch has also been invited to conduct workshops with students at the University of Art and Design Linz, Department of Visual Communication, as well as at Foto K in Vienna. She has also given various lectures.
In 2018, she launched the Fondation Coco Lafayette project, an art salon in which she invites artists to use her studio and living space to give guests an insight into their work. Collectors, gallery owners, curators, and art enthusiasts—understood as multipliers—are invited to a five-course meal, cooked by Rusch, in the middle of the intervention.
Rusch moves between Chur and Vienna, where she works as an artist and photographer.
