“Thanks to the MAK Schindler Residency in Los Angeles, I found myself in an environment that allowed me to build upon my ongoing conceptual and infrastructural interests in film. At the same time, the six-month duration of the residency gave me the freedom to explore a previously uncharted direction in my work — that of 'queer abstraction'.”
