Lucie Stahl
Lucie Stahl is an artist based in Vienna. Her works investigate the abstracted, psychologically fraud, relationship of humans to their environment. She is interested in a culture of extraction, obsessive use and the associated modes of production and consumption–mechanisms of sucking, pumping, flowing and converting liquid raw materials into energy, and how they relate to inner processes.
Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions internationally. Recent institutional solo exhibitions include Transit Interior, Camera Austria, Graz (2023); Seven Sisters, Kunstverein Bonn (2022); Works 2008-2018, Friart, Fribourg (2018) and Concentrations 60, Dallas Museum of Art (2016). Stahl has been a Professor of artistic photography at the Kunstuniversität in Linz since 2021. She is represented by dépendance, Brussels; Fitzpatrick Gallery, Paris; Galerie Meyer Kainer, Vienna and Cabinet, London
