Moritz Heimrath

Moritz Heimrath studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and graduated from the University of Applied Arts Vienna in 2010. He is currently a partner at Bollinger+Grohmann ZT GmbH and part of the developer team of Karamba3D, an interactive parametric finite-element plugin for Grasshopper. His research focuses on the relationship between structure, computational strategies and aesthetic architectural concepts. Heimrath is teaching the implementation of digital design strategies at the Institute of Technology GSO in Nuremberg, Germany and digital analysis and simulation at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna. In 2012 he received the MAK Schindler Scholarship from the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Education of Austria.
